As one of the rising stars in Riverside County, Eastvale is growing quickly. New schools are being built, new shopping centers are in development and new, public recreational facilities are in the planning phases. Public parks in the area fall under the jurisdiction of Jurupa Community Services Division, known as JCSD. The largest park currently is Harada Heritage Park. At Harada, residents can enjoy the athletic fields, basketball and volleyball courts, roller hockey rink and skateboard park.

Three large recreation sites are located within several miles of Eastvale: Chino Hills State Park, Cleveland National Forest and Prado Regional Park. Chino Hills State Park sprawls over 12,000-plus acres of rolling hills in Santa Ana Canyon. The park is open to the public and used primarily for its multi-use walking/hiking/equestrian trails. Cleveland National Forest also offers a look at Southern California's natural landscape. This forest is comprised of 460,000 acres of chaparral that spreads into San Diego, Riverside and Orange Counties. Lastly, there is the Prado Regional Park in the Chino Valley Basin. Prado is used for fishing, horseback riding, golfing and camping.

In and around the city of Corona, Eastvale residents can also participate in more commonplace types of free time fun. Movie theatres, golf courses, shopping malls, go-kart tracks, mini-golf and arcades all provide venues for casual recreation. Notable nearby attractions include Fender Museum of Music and the Arts and Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa.

The weather in Eastvale is typical of an inland Southern California community. Summers are hot and dry, while winters are very mild. Temperature averages range from the mid-90s in August to the low-40s in December. Average annual precipitation is about 12 inches, with February being the wettest month of the year.
